Description of CSA SEW-1, UL SF-1:
SEW-1 (SF1) and SEW-2 (SF2) wires consist of stranded, tinned or nickel-plated conductors with fibreglass over silicone rubber insulation. The fibreglass braided jackets are coated with a high-temperature finish and are also resistant to moisture and flames. The class 1 and class 2 have maximum operating voltages of 300V and 600V, respectively, and can withstand temperatures of up to 200°C. Silicone and Fibreglass (SRML) motor lead wires are perfect for use in motors, appliances, lighting fixtures, and a high-temperature lead wires.
Application of CSA SEW-1, UL SF-1:
CSA SEW-1, UL SF-1 silicone hook-up wire is typically used for the internal wiring of electrical equipment or appliances where moisture, cold, and heat may be present. The SEW-1 is also a high-temperature construction which allows this cable to be used in medium to high-temperature applications.
