SOW and SOW-A have been superseded by SOOW. SOOW has both an oil-resistant insulation and an oil-resistant outer jacket. Any SOW or SOW-A RFQs will be quoted as SOOW.

Construction of Type SOW Cable:

The type SOW portable power cable has an extra flexible stranded copper conductor with separator and colour coded vulcanized synthetic free-stripping EP rubber insulation cabled with filler, separator, and overall jacket.
