Description of Type HDT Wire:
Type HDT wire (Heavy Duty Thermoplastic) consists of a single, stranded, bare copper conductor encased in a tough PVC insulation. As its name boasts, the Type HDT heavy-wall wire is designed for use in rigorous automotive applications that require high durability. Type HDT cable is most typically used as surface wiring for thin wall, low tension applications. The HDT heavy wall allows for maximum operating voltage of 60V and can be used in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +80°C. Type HDT cable is available in a variety of sizes and colours.
