Sycor’s VFD cable stands for Variable Frequency Drive, which is a type of adjustable-speed drive that’s used in electro-mechanical drive systems. The VFD cable is resistant to oil, solvents, chemicals, abrasion and fuels, additionally making the VFD very durable for harsh applications.

XLPE insulation
Copolymer jacket
Double-sided aluminum foil tape, 25% polyester overlap
Tinned copper braid, 85% coverage; over foil tape

Application of VFD Cable UL2277, UL1277:
Sycor’s VFD cable is designed for moderate to light applications, in tight difficult locations. Being flexible and very resistant, this cable is very durable against outside weathering, which is why VFD cables are typically used for wind turbines. Sycor’s VFD cables are able to last for an extensive amount of time without maintenance, because typical applications are often very difficult to reach.
