CSA TEW Wire UL1015, UL1028, UL1283, UL1284 Hook-Up Wire

Description of CSA TEW Wire, UL1015, UL1028:

TEW wire UL1015 & UL1028 consists of a single, soft-drawn copper conductor and thermoplastic PVC insulation. It is a highly versatile wire with a maximum operating voltage of 600V. Some of TEW wires applications include switchboards, appliances, electronic circuits, and machine tool wiring. CSA TEW wire UL1015 & UL1028 is VW-1 flame test rated and is also resistant to heat, oil, and moisture. Lastly, CSA TEW wire UL1015 & UL1028 comes in either tinned or bare copper and is available in various sizes and stranding options.

Approvals of CSA TEW Wire, UL1015, UL1028:

CSA TEW per requirements of Spec C22.2 No 27, FT-1.
UL MTW/AWM per requirements of Spec UL 1063 Subject 758, VW-1.
UL1015, UL1028, UL1283, UL1284.
Other possible styles: UL1230, 1231, 1232, 1650, 10269.

Construction of CSA TEW Wire, UL1015, UL1028:

Solid or stranded, tinned copper conductor(s)
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) insulation
(Bare Copper, Topcoat, Overcoat or Prebond conductors are also available)

Temperature for CSA TEW Wire, UL1015, UL1028:

CSA/UL -30°C to 105°C in dry locations. Not to exceed 60°C in wet locations or when exposed to oil or coolant. When CSA TEW wire is used as MTW, applications should not exceed 90°C

Application of CSA TEW Wire, UL1015, UL1028:

TEW Wire UL1015 & UL1028 are typically used for internal wiring of electrical equipment, leads of transformers and motors. This type of lead wire also has an MTW construction, that's used for machine tool wiring. Lastly, CSA TEW Wire UL1015 & UL1028 can be used for AWM applications such as the internal wiring of appliances and other equipment.
